Tier 1 (Post Study Work)

The Tier 1 (Post Study Work) was inroduced to take over the international Graduates Scheme. If an individual is successful in securing this visa, the individual is granted a 2 year stay in the UK and can look for work.

The individual can then gain work experience and eventually aply for a Tier 1 or 2 Visa.

Assessment

The candidate needs to have completed a course of study at a recognised or listed UK institution of higher or further education.

Courses: A Bachelors Degree, Masters or PHD, Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma, A HND from a recognised Scottish Institution

A candidate needs to provide evidence of maintenance funds.

Advantages

The advantages of this visa is that it allows the individual to stay for 3 years and establish a foundation for themselves here in the UK.
